DAY WISE ITINERARY
Day 1: Pickup from Tanakpur and Drive to Dharchula
Your journey begins with a pickup from Tanakpur, followed by a picturesque drive through the lush and tranquil landscapes of the Kumaon region. The route offers beautiful vistas of forested hills, rivers, and charming villages. Upon reaching Dharchula, check into your accommodation and relax for the night as you prepare for the spiritual adventure ahead.
Day 2: Dharchula to Gunji / Napalchu Village
On the second day, depart early from Dharchula for Gunji or Napalchu Village. The scenic drive takes you through serene valleys and winding mountain roads that unveil breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Once you arrive, take time to acclimatize to the higher altitude and settle into your lodging, ensuring you’re well-rested for the next day’s excursions.
Day 3: Old Lipu Pass and Om Parvat from Nabhdhang Darshan
Day three begins with an early morning journey to Old Lipu Pass and Nabhdhang, where you’ll witness the divine sight of Om Parvat. This sacred peak is revered for the natural ‘Om’ symbol etched in snow on its face, a phenomenon that draws pilgrims and spiritual seekers from far and wide. After spending time soaking in the energy and taking in the breathtaking views, return to your base village for the night.
Day 4: Adi Kailash, Parwati Sarovar, and Return to Dharchula
Today’s journey leads to the holy site of Adi Kailash, also known as Chhota Kailash. Surrounded by untouched natural beauty, this revered mountain is a place of deep devotion and tranquility. Visit the serene Parwati Sarovar and the sacred Gauri Kund, both high-altitude lakes believed to hold mythological significance. After a spiritually enriching experience, return to Dharchula for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Dharchula to Patal Bhuvaneshwar
On the fifth day, depart Dharchula and head towards the mystical Patal Bhuvaneshwar, a revered underground cave temple. Known for its fascinating limestone formations, the cave is believed to contain depictions of countless Hindu deities and cosmic legends. Explore the temple’s intriguing chambers before settling in for a peaceful night amidst the spiritual aura of Patal Bhuvaneshwar.
Day 6: Patal Bhuvaneshwar to Tanakpur
Your final day begins with a drive from Patal Bhuvaneshwar back to Tanakpur. - This is a high-altitude tour (up to 15,000+ feet). Participants must be physically fit and free from serious medical conditions such as heart problems, epilepsy, or uncontrolled hypertension.
- A valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar card, passport, etc.) must be carried during the entire trip.
- Inner Line Permits and other official clearances are required for this route. These will be arranged by the organizers but are subject to approval by government authorities.
- The itinerary is subject to change due to weather conditions, road blockages, or administrative instructions. Any such decisions will be made in the interest of safety.
- Road travel will involve long drives, rough terrain, and basic mountain roads. Participants should be prepared for remote conditions.
- Accommodation during the tour will be in guesthouses, homestays, or tents. Facilities may be basic in remote areas.
- Mobile connectivity and electricity may be limited or unavailable in certain regions. Please plan accordingly.
- Participants are expected to follow the instructions of the group leader or guide at all times to ensure safety and coordination.
- Sacred sites must be treated with respect—this includes modest dressing, quiet behavior, and no littering.
- Environmental responsibility is essential. Use of plastic should be minimized, and waste must be disposed of responsibly.
- Any disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the group without refund or compensation.
- The tour operator is not responsible for delays or detours caused by landslides, weather, or other natural events.
